First of all: I did not create, nor participate in any of these icon packs. All this guide does, is collecting and showcasing them here. All the creators are mentioned and linked below.

1.) Can I get banned for using icon packs and changing character portraits?
Because..
you’re still modifying, actually changing the game files. Any changes made to your game files, can interrupt your games launching process or trigger EAC what technically could result in a ban.
But..
There are some rumours around that a few people got banned after installing icon packs. So far, nothing has ever been proven. Many players, even known streamers, have been customizing their icons for years without facing any problems.
BHVR and Easy Anti Cheat..
While BHVR won’t ban you for using icon and portrait packs, EAC could be potentially triggered. That being said you can send an email to EAC Customer Support and they’ll tell you the following:
«Easy Anti-Cheat is only interested of the use of third-party tools designed to grant an unfair in-game advantage over other players.

Consider the risks at your own. Do not change any other files.
Theoretically you can get banned, but there’s not a single case known and EAC + BHVR aren’t targeting for your icons and their changes.

Overview
This is a tool designed to allow you to browse through icon packs and install them with a single click. It attempts to auto-detect your DBD installation directory in order to automatically install packs there. No more downloading and unzipping!
This tool also hosts all of the packs in one place, presenting a friendly UI that allows you to browse through and preview over 100 packs (and growing).

As a fan of the retrowave trend and a 90s baby I enjoyed making this with love and making it something I thoroughly enjoy, I hope whoever is interested in checking this out feels the same. I put a LOT of time and effort into this.

BHVR has expressed they are not banning for custom perks multiple times. Easy Anti-Cheat currently does not monitor the modification of these specific files. This can change if Easy Anti-Cheat changes the files they scan. Basically do not take it upon yourself to modify other files aside from the ones that have been proven safe. It is considered safe but that can change, theme your perks at your own risk.
Use 7-zip. it’s free. If it is corrupted, download it again.
Drop folders in «Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\DeadByDaylight\Content\UI\Icons»
Folders that say «Use Folder Inside» contain a folder for you to drag into the directory above.
To use the Ultra Rare Perks alongside the regular perks, install the regular perks first then overwrite with the perks in the Ultra Rare folder.
Mystery boxes can’t be themed as it is not an image we have access to.
These are perks that don’t have details that go outside the perk boundaries of the original perks.
There’s a chance for everything. I am currently exploring the best options for character portraits and icons. I want these to be top quality so when I find something i’ll get to it.
but please be respectful and don’t try to put me on the spot for special requests/feedback/etc.

Since update 4.5.0 the icons are no longer customizable. For this reason the icon pack is discontinued until further noticed. The icon pack will be updated as soon as icon customization will become possible yet again. Until then you»ll have to do with the default icons.
Custom Icons appear to be working again with the latest update, come back in a few days for an update on the icon pack!
Almost all icons in Dead by Daylight can be modified and a lot of amazing artist in the community have already modified many. I combined a lot of these artist work into one package while staying loyal to the original artstyle.
This guide includes download links to multiple variations to my «Faithful Icon Pack». If you wish to use either of them you can follow my step by step tutorial that will guide you through the process of modifying your icons.

Q: Can you get banned for changing your icons?
A: You could, but as of right now Easy Anti-cheat (the anti-cheat software used in Dead by Daylight) scan for alterations to encrypted UE4 game files exclusively ignoring changes to any unencrypted files. And EAC is known for telling you to verify your game cache when it finds corrupted files so you don’t really have anything to worry about.
Q: Why is the background missing for some items?
A: I left the background transparent for some items for aesthetic purposes. With items such as toolboxes and medkits, you get to see the items in the bottom of your screen when using it. And if the background is not transparent for such items you will see the galaxy background as well.
Q: Why are custom icons for the offerings not showing up when they are burnt?
A: Unfortunately, custom offering icons only show up in the loadout menu and not when they are burnt. Because of that reason they are low priority although they might be coming very soon!
Q: Why are some icons missing?
[b>A:[/b] Some icons might be missing because either the artist hasn’t yet finished making them or I haven’t had time yet to add them.

Dead By Daylight Icon Toolbox
A tool for browsing and installing icon packs
About
The Dead By Daylight Icon Toolbox is a desktop Windows application designed to make the process of browsing for & installing Perks (and Icons/Char Portraits) easy. The tool will autodetect your Dead By Daylight installation location in most cases. All you need to do is click “install”, and the tool will install the perk pack directly to your Dead By Daylight directory. You can then just fire up the game and enjoy!
If you’ve installed Dead By Daylight from the Windows Store, you will be unable to use this tool. Windows store seems to install applications as read only, so there’s no way to use custom perks.
Why does this exist?
This exists for two reasons: I am an Embedded Developer by trade, and this was a fun opportunity to learn some webbier development while still making a useful Desktop application. That’s why I chose bloated Electron over something like C#/WPF or JavaFx. The second reason is that I’m tired of unzipping icon packs and dragging them over. It’s nice to have them all in one place.
